ILM & Nvidia GPU

Stumbling upon a very intuitive video of ILM & Nvidia's GPU acceleration joining together to create some amazing effects in The Last Air Bender and Harry Potter. GPU acceleration is quickly making its way into the VFX Industry.

Technology that utiliizes GPU acceleration is able to take common processes and crank them out faster and allow for quicker turnaround on iterations and revisions. Everyone knows that the ability to iterate and revise shots as fast as possible, while continually expanding the detail in the shots is a must in any production environment.
